Average Income
Average income US $74,500 Exclude top 10 65,000 Exclude top 50 48,000 exclude 1,000 35,500 Wow, and double wow. That says it all and says it all in a new way. Statistics lie, or people lie with statistics. In several sources recently -- several! -- I saw the figure $74,500 which was cited, quoted, paraded, as the average income in the USA. Average! Average. What does average mean, you add up ALL the incomes, divide ..... Flaw. Meaningless figure because remove just a few -- the ten richest people in the WORLD live in America -- and the average income drops to $65,000. Most significantly, exclude just 1,000 and you suddenly see what we all knew: Average income $35,500. How can you get by on just thirty five thousand dollars? Buy a house? Even afford a good rental. We keep being told the gap between the rich and the poor is widening. This shows it graphically: most people of the 350 million people in America, live poor lives, struggle to get by. The above graph "deducts" the income of the top 1,000 people from the equation, but "More than 5.5 million Americans are millionaires." One way of looking at it? Wow. We have the ten richest people in the world and 5.5 million Americans are millionaires. Another way of looking at it? Many of the remaining 325 million Americans live desperate lives: exploited, abused, underpaid. Americans have amassed vast amounts of all the legal tender that exists in the world, but more and more it becomes clear that the richest few that have so much wealth (POWER) are hell bent on controlling the lives of others. They are buying candidates (politicians), trying to buy/rig elections. Those who rule (elected) are bribed, corrupted. Look no further than the Supreme Court of the United States of America. Power corrupts, and masses of money, equates to enormous power over others. It corrupts the bearer and it corrupts all the sycophants who surround the bearer of so much money. Kings raised armies. The rich surround themselves with armed bodyguards.
